  • Tacky Glue fabric glue or hot glue gun also work

Instructions

  • Measure and cut out a long strip of orange felt that is tall and wide enough to wrap around your tin can.
  • Wrap and glue orange felt to tin can.
  • Use black felt to cut out two eyes, a nose and mouth and use green felt to cut out a small stem for your pumpkin.
  • Glue facial features and stem to pumpkin. Now fill with candy or utensils and enjoy! Repeat for as many cans as desired!

Notes

  • The cans' inner rim, where the lid was removed, can be sharp. Therefore, to ensure safety, consider wrapping it with a couple of layers of tape to dull the edge.
  • If you are having trouble with the tacky glue, don’t worry—a hot glue gun also works very well with felt. Just be sure to monitor little ones so they don't burn their skin!
  • Fill your tin can felt pumpkins with candy, party utensils, or even flowers! For a fun touch, load them with a mix of candy, making them great for trick-or-treaters or party favors.
  • Want to add some variety to your festive Halloween cans? Just decorate them with other Halloween characters like black cats, monsters, or Frankensteins! These fun designs will make your display pop even more!
