small decorative art supplies colored pasta, pompoms, gems, sequins, buttons, beads, etc
Instructions
Make a gratitude list. Ask kids to call out things they are grateful for. Make a list of their answers.
Step 2. Choose a word. Have kids pick out one word or phrase. They (or you) can write that word(s) on a piece of construction paper.
Step 3: Decorate the word! Glue small, decorative art supplies (colored pasta shells, buttons, gems, pompoms, etc) onto the letters. Kids can be creative and add pictures or colors to really express what the word means to them!

Notes
Leave extra time if using colored shells to dye and dry pasta shells before starting your gratitude craft. Check out our easy guide on how to dye pasta for crafts for instructions.
Draw thick words (like bubble letters) to leave room for glue and decorating!
Get creative! The sky is the limit when it comes to decorating the gratitude words. Use gems, sequins, pompoms or glitter if you're feeling fancy. Or kids can go the natural route and use leaves, twigs, dried moss, etc. Whatever you and your kids are into will be awesome!
For an added challenge, ask kids to predict and count how many shells or art supplies it takes to decorate each letter of their gratitude word.
