Apple Teeth Snack

Apple teeth are the silliest, most fun snack kids can make themselves — just apples, peanut butter, and marshmallows! Perfect for Halloween parties, playdates, and after-school snacks.

Equipment

  • 1 sharp knife or apple corer

Ingredients

  • 1 apple cut into 8 wedges
  • 8 tbsp peanut butter
  • 20 mini marshmallows
  • 8 candy eyeballs optional

Instructions

  • Use a sharp knife or apple wedge to cut apples into 8 medium-sized wedges. Discard the apple's core.
  • Spread 1 tbsp peanut butter along one edge of each apple slice.
  • Press 5 marshmallows into the peanut butter of half of 4 apple wedges.
  • Secure the the remaining 4 apple wedges with peanut butter on top of the wedges with marshmallows to form a sandwich-like apple smile. Optional: Use extra peanut butter to secure candy eyes to the top of your apple smile.

Notes

  • If the peanut butter won't stick to the apples, simply pat the apples dry with a clean paper towel to remove extra moisture.
  • If your kids are't fans of peanut butter, Nutella is another great option for this snack.
  • To keep apple slices from browning, you can place apples in a bowl and toss with a mixture of 1 cup of water and 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice for a few minutes before assembling the apple smiles. Just the sure to pat apples dry before adding the peanut butter.
