Temperatures are cooler outside these days, so we've definitely been spending more time indoors. Don't get me wrong, we LOVE playing in the cool, crisp air. Yet, there is something so sweet and cozy about sitting inside together and coming up with simple fall craft ideas.
Fall Crafts that Use Real Food
At Platein28, we offer food-related crafts for kids to do while parents cook. These quick and simple Fall craft ideas offer kids an engaging activity so that grown-ups can make dinner uninterrupted.
All our Fall crafts feature a meal's main ingredient. The goal of the food craft is to help kids make a connection between what they're doing and what they're eating, in a creative and tangible way. Many of our Fall crafts call for kids to handle the actual food, i.e. decorating a squash to look like a turkey OR forming words of gratitude our of painted shell pasta.

Minimal Supplies and Minimal Mess!
Like our other crafts at Platein28, our Fall crafts are meant to be simple, so they don't require many special supplies. We prefer to craft with items that we already have laying around the house. For example, our Falling Leaves Tree Craft requires two food items: shredded cheese and noodles. Along with those food items, the craft simply requires a few basic craft supplies: paper, paint, markers and glue.
Endless Fall Craft Ideas!
The fall is packed with festive celebrations, seasonal produce and traditions that can inspire some extremely creative and simple fall craft ideas! Here we have shared some of our seasonal favorites. We hope you will try some of these out, and share some of your own favorite fall craft ideas with us too!
