Fosters creativity. The cool thing about this craft is that there are no specific guidelines and kids can pretty much do whatever they want. Let them decide which veggies they want to use, and where.

✂️ Supplies
- Potato- any kind of potato will work!
- Sliced veggies- use whatever you have, like onion slices, red pepper, or mushrooms.
- Toothpicks
- Markers
Note: We recommend Curious Chef Kid-Friendly Knives if kids want to do the chopping!
📝Instructions
Step 1: Create your potato people's face: Use toothpicks to secure veggie facial features to your potato. We used onion slices as hair, a slice of red pepper as the mouth, 2 pieces of frozen corn for the eyes (thaw them in the microwave first), and bigger mushroom chunks for ears.
Step 2: Accessorize! Use markers to draw on any leftover features. For example, we drew a nose and added eyelashes to the corn eyes. You can even draw a bow tie or necklace on your potato people.
Step 3: Add arms and legs. As a final touch, add toothpick arms and legs. You can even stick on chopped pieces of red pepper or mushroom as hands and feet.
Note: Toothpicks are sharp. For young children especially, this craft will require adult supervision and/or assistance.
